Bettism's - Recipes - Outtakes and Life's Little Quandaries.

Hmmm... Starting a blog.... am I really that person? Do I really think I have anything to say? Do I really think anyone might listen? Or, read, I guess?

So, here's how I measured the pros and cons:

I have been told, by many people, that I should start keeping a record of the things that Bet says and does. I've put many of them on Facebook and I know that many of my friends enjoy them and they brighten their day a little bit.
Ok - 1 in the positive column.

Do I really want to bare my heart? Let people in to my inner thoughts? Allow people access to the great big maze of mirror hall horrors and fantastical flights of fancy I call my brain?
hmmm... ok - 1 in the negative, but wait,
I can edit. I don't have to put everything in the blog that I think, feel, rant, want, need, etc. - I can edit.
Ok, scratch that... oh, heck, scratch the whole thing...

I'm starting a blog.

There will be Bettism's - For those of you who don't know, I have a fantastic 4-year old and the logic of a 4-year old can be amazing at times, and I like to share.

There will be Recipes - For those of you who don't know, I love to cook. I entered a BHG recipe contest a year or so ago and won first prize on my first attempt. Not all the recipes will be award winners, but they'll be yummy and fun, so I hope you'll try them.

There will be Outtakes and Quandaries - in other words, I'll talk about life, mine, yours, probably not Britney Spears', but who knows. No, just about definite I won't be mentioning her, but you know, you say you won't do something and all of a sudden you just have to say something on said topic. But I'll most likely talk more about my own personal stuff and stuff that has some meaning to me and those I care about.

My grammar will not be perfect. I do love words, and I like to think that I tend towards higher standards in grammar and spelling, but if you came to my blog expecting perfect grammar, syntax and spelling, let me remind you, once again, I have a 4-year old, so if I get time to actually get on the blog and write something, well, I'm sure you get my meaning.

Well, let's see - the things that matter to me; my family, my loved ones, theatre - did I mention I'm an actor? Now, there's some controversy over the use of the word "actor" for a person of the female persuasion, but my take on it is this - you don't call a female doctor a doctress, do you?

OH YEAH... And I will go off on tangents... perhaps I should have called this blog the tangential life... because, let's face it, if you've sat in a room with me for more than 5 minutes, you know that is a pretty perfect description...

Well, that's it for now. More later, but it's bedtime for a certain girlie and rest time for a certain Mommy.

See ya soon, I hope.
